In 2019, the AfriMAQUA network was presented in two scientific events.
On October 2 and 3, the Sam Nujoma Marine and Coastal Resources Research Centre (SANUMARC) and the Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Resources of the University of Namibia (UNAM) hosted a conference under the theme “Fisheries & Agricultural Sciences as a Vehicle towards achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. Martin Tjipute, lecturer at the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences of the UNAM and AfriMAQUA member, represented our network during this conference with a poster presentation.
On December 2 and 3, another poster about the AfriMAQUA network was presented during the French-South African Science and Innovation Days, which was celebrated at the CSIR Convention Centre, Pretoria, and organized by the French Embassy in South Africa in collaboration with the DST and the NRF.
